Smart Screen Capture is a browser extension for capturing screenshots of webpages with full-page capture, editing, and export tools. We take your privacy seriously and believe in transparency about how we handle your data.
What the extension does
- Capture a full webpage by scrolling and stitching screenshots
- Preview captured screenshots
- Crop and annotate screenshots with the built-in editor
- Automatically copy captured or updated screenshots to the clipboard
- Export screenshots as PNG
- Optionally export screenshots as PDF when enabled in settings
Data the extension handles
The extension processes screenshot data that you explicitly capture.
- Webpage content visible in your browser tab
- Full-page content captured through scrolling
- Annotations and edits you make in the viewer
- Settings you save in the extension
What we do not collect
Smart Screen Capture does not intentionally collect, sell, or share personal data for advertising.
The extension does not use remote analytics or tracking services as part of its core behavior.
The extension does not upload your screenshots to a remote server as part of the default product flow.

The extension stores some data locally in your browser so the product can work.

When data is processed
The extension processes page content only when you explicitly use the extension to capture a screenshot.
Once a capture is opened in the viewer, the current screenshot may also be copied to your clipboard so it is immediately available to paste into bug reports, chats, or documents.
Third-party libraries
The extension may include third-party libraries needed for screenshot editing or export, such as annotation, crop, or PDF generation libraries. These libraries run as part of the extension code and do not change the core privacy model described here.
Your choices
- Stop using the extension at any time
- Remove stored extension data by uninstalling the extension
- Control optional features such as PDF export through extension settings
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated as the product evolves. The latest version should be published at the public privacy policy URL associated with the Chrome Web Store listing.
